The trip
Join us as we cycle across the beautiful islands and bridges of the inland sea, through deep river valleys in Shikoku and over the volcanic highlands of Kyushu on our Southern Japan Cycle tour.
A fully supported road cycling tour designed to give you amazing experiences both on and off the bike. This tour offers some big days in the saddle on some of Japan’s best cycling roads, with great options for riders who don’t want to cycle the whole route.

- Ride through stunning Shikoku over mountain passes and alongside emerald green rivers

Every aspect of the tour was well organized and perfectly executed, not just meeting my expectations but exceeding all of them.
Will and his team obviously know southern Japan very well, being Tami’s ‘home ground’ so to speak.
The chosen routes were well thought out and perfectly suited to our group and the choice of accommodation and places to eat were all excellent. I enjoyed every fun-filled moment.

This is a truly great bike tour. Our hosts, Will and Tami, made everything so easy. The route has everything (except traffic!) from forest clad hills and fabulous views to bike paths winding through remote towns and valleys. Every meal was a new experience in Japanese cuisine. And the accommodations were exceptional. If you do one international bike tour in your lifetime, do this one.

We Ride Japan ran a tour for our group. There was a big variation in our ages, riding skills, and interests. Will, Tami, Nami and Ted did an amazing job in catering for the varied needs. From cycling, scenery, cultural experience, accommodation, food, first aid to over jealous youngster who came unstuck. They varied programs repeatedly to fit our individuals needs. We were a massive challenge to the team and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
There are not enough stars in the rating system to express our rating.

Our bike trip in Shikoku, Japan with We Ride Japan was absolutely outstanding. We gave Will the challenge, 17 family members, from 80 -4 years old, some regular bike riders, some who hadn’t ridden for decades and he and the We Ride Japan team definitely delivered in spades. WE ALL had a fantastic time, everyone was super happy. The cultural experience, the accommodation, the food and the overall care were all first rate. I can’t recommend We Ride Japan highly enough. They are simply the BEST !!

Wow! This cycling trip of Shikoku and Setouchi Shimanami Kaido was an absolutely amazing experience. Team ‘We ride Japan’ (Will and Tammie), made the experience worry free.
We travelled through gob smacking scenery, through forests, along coastlines, across huge bridges and through many tunnels.
The accommodation was also fabulous. It was exciting to arrive at each location and see what treat was in store for us each night.
Will and Tammie are really knowledgeable about the area we travelled. They are immersed in their community and want to promote Japan to interested tourists while showcasing the local towns.
I can’t speak highly enough of Will and Tammie. They are a great team and made our trip the amazing adventure it was.

Will and Tamie put together an amazing self-guided tour for us for our honeymoon. Their communication was great throughout the process, and they helped customize the tour to meet our interests. When it came to the tour itself, they were excellent hosts. They met up with us for an excellent meal the evening we spent in Uchiko, and they even came to the rescue when my wife had an allergic reaction to a bee sting and we ended up needing to call for an ambulance (after a quick trip to the hospital, we were back on track the next day). We couldn’t really couldn’t recommend booking with We Ride Japan highly enough.
