My wife and I had a wonderful time on the Seto Inland Sea, Shimanami Kaido and Shikoku Island tour with Will, Tami, Nami and Ryugi. The four of them are warm, personable, attentive, efficient and intent on acquainting their riders with the local Japanese culture. We could not have asked for better hosts. With four guides for the group’s eleven riders, we experienced flawless advance along the route and expert guidance at the attractions along the way. Rural Japan is quite different from the Japan most tourists experience and our hosts were dedicated to have us understand and appreciate the local culture. The riding is wonderful, with scenery that is hard to beat. The roads are generally quiet and the drivers are courteous. There are some moderate ascents and thrilling descents. The bikes they provide are excellent and seem brand new. The accommodations were quite good with many of them very fine traditional ryokan style rooms. The arranged meals were always exceptional quality. We have ridden extensively in many countries and this ride is unsurpassed. Rental bikes were top notch as were the accommodations. A nice mix of traditional lodging and Western. Meals were great! Will, Tamie, Nami, and Ryuji were excellent hosts and guides for this tour which let us explore less-touristed parts of Japan. I felt we learned a lot about Japanese culture in very authentic settings. Hotels and meals were great and the support vehicle came in extremely handy for various reasons! Great bikes, great variety, great food and great company. We highly recommend this tour Ellen Evans2025-04-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic guided tour of Shikoku along the famed Shimananmi Kaido. Will and Tami were amazing hosts who created a well organized, safe, fun and breath-taking tour. We stayed at beautiful, authenic Japanese hotels with wonderful post-ride baths and the food was delicious (although Japanese breakfast is quite different than we are used to!). Over 9 days (8 nights) we covered about 250 miles, climbed 12,000 feet and crossed 7 bridges with stunning views. Highly recommend this guided tour. Every aspect of the trip was crafted to provide the riders with the best of Japan's culture, food, and scenery. Eileen Eberhart2025-04-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In March 2025, my husband and I went on a 9-day ride with We Ride Japan. It was our first trip to Japan. I can't imagine a better introduction to the country than the We Ride Japan tour. The scenery was breathtaking, and the guides took pains to keep us safe and informed about the places we were seeing, the people we were meeting, and Japanese customs. We have taken many bike trips throughout the world but I think this one was the best. I highly recommend We Ride Japan. Best cycling routes along the Seto water, the mountains with the beautiful cherry blossoms, temples and shrines, scenic rural and countrysides. Excellent accommodations and exposure to Japanese culture and cuisines. Very professional, caring and nicest staff. Thank you Will, Tami, Yu and Tomo! You’re the best! While each is unique & special in their own way I found w We Ride Japan cycling Shikoku the very best of the best in so many ways - the culture, landscape, cuisine, cycling friendly routes, local knowledge, safety, support, coordination of logistics, weather, balance of free & group time. The We Ride Japan team has truly created a most perfect experience for cyclists ! Arigato! Thank you! Monica Jenicek2025-04-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Shikokou tour was superlative in every respect from route selection, ride description, accommodation, food, transfers, scenery, bike quality, ease of administration details like payments, and more. Tammie and Will run an unparalleled tour. Can’t say enough good things about this trip.
